Written by comic book scribe Geoff Johns, “Legion,” as many might already know, introduces the Legion of Superheroes to Smallville. Composed of Cosmic Boy/Rokk (Ryan Kennedy), Saturn Girl/Imra (Alexz Johnson) and Lighning Lad/Garth (Calum Worthy), they’ve flown in from the future to help Clark defeat a notorious villain. Sources continue to reveal that the long-time LSH enemy in question is actually the Persuader.

The CW has also released its official description of the episode, mentioning that Chloe in her Braniac persona tells Davis that he is Doomsday. Also, he was created to kill “the other Kryptonian” and destroy the world. This could be the start of what TV Guide hinted at, wherein a Clark/Doomsday showdown will take place.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 12 – “Bulletproof”

According to the network, Clark goes undercover as a police officer upon discovering that John Jones (guest star Phil Morris) was shot. Taking on the alias “Joe Fordman,” he looks for the culprit while dealing with other problems. Two comic book characters also make their first Smallville appearance – Dan Turpin and Dr. Emil Hamilton.

Another noteworthy scene in the episode was mentioned by Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello though: Clark shares a kiss with L***. Since Erica Durance isn’t on the episode and Allison Mack barely has any screen time here, the girl could only be Lana. It’s also worth mentioning that she and Clark have a dinner date, and that sparks fly as she confronts Tess.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 13 – “Power”

Allison Mack steps up to direct the episode, which focuses on Lana being kept alive by bizarre experiments of LuthorCorp. Dr. Grohl (seen on “Arrow,” “Fallout” and once more in “Instinct”) makes an appearance, and is presumably involved in the said experiments. It has also been said that answers to Lana’s season 7 finale absence and return on “Bride” will be revealed.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 14 – “Requiem”

The character of Steve Lombard, who was introduced in the 1970s Superman comics, will be seen on this episode. Portrayed by Ray Galletti, Lombard is generally known as a sports reporter for TV and the Daily Planet. “Requiem” will also be Kristin Kreuk’s final episode as Lana Lang.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 15 – “Infamous”

The media seems to have gotten the best of Clark, as they are in a frenzy over the Red-Blue Blur. Earlier spoilers have mentioned villainous Linda Lake (Tori Spelling) threatening to expose Clark’s secret, but he wants to tell the public on his own terms. Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello has confirmed that it’s indeed Lois Lane who does the interview with Clark which reveals his true Kryptonian heritage to the world.

Meanwhile, Chloe is constantly pestered by reporters who keep asking her what it’s like to be a hero’s best friend. She also refers to Jimmy, who has been transported to Metropolis General, as her husband, implying that her memories have been restored.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 16 – “Turbulence”

Tess and Clark are out of town for a press conference, but Clark has other things on his mind. He’s set on finding out just how much Lex told Tess about him. Also, Jimmy causes a bit of a commotion as he returns from his coma. He reacts violently upon seeing Davis, and suddenly flares up upon seeing Chloe. Davis later heads to a cathedral, where he confesses his sin of hurting those he cares for.

Smallville Season 8, Episode 17 – “Hex”

Appearing on the episode is a guest character named Cassie, whose father taught her sorcery before she passed away. She tries to get Oliver to believe in witchcraft, and asks him to obtain an item Lex had before he disappeared. She then promises to give Oliver his “deepest desire” if he helps her.

Clark is put under a spell because of his wish to lead a simpler life, while Chloe is magically turned into Lois. TV Guide’s Matt Mitovich revealed: “a truly magical magician fulfills Chloe’s wish to have Lois’ “easy” life … by transplanting her into her cousin’s body. While my frenemy already teased a “longing look” between Clark and “Lois” — and Erica Durance’s admirers can obviously count on seeing gobs of their fave actress — Chloe fans should be very pleased with an epiphany their girl reaches at episode’s end.”

Since the episode starts off with Chloe’s birthday party, it’s been said that Clark’s gift to her is a vintage copy of “Tales of the Weird & Unexplained.” Jimmy doesn’t attend the celebration, but he does have a conversation with Chloe-as-Lois.
